Why did you decide to run for this office?

My decision to run is rooted in a servant attitude for my community and my state and my family. I have three sons and nine grandchildren. My decision to serve is born out of a desire to protect their future and the future of all North Carolinians. I want to make sure they are allowed the same opportunities I have experienced as they grow up and raise their families in this great state.

What are your top 3 priorities for serving in this office?

My top issues are protecting our children, protecting small businesses from government overreach and keeping North Carolina economically prosperous.

What experience/qualities make you a good choice for this office?

I joined the Republican Party on my 16th birthday in 1976. That’s 47 years of supporting conservative and deeply rooted family values. I am a successful business owner, starting and operating 4 profitable entities here in my community. I know what’s it takes to sign the front of the paychecks. I am an active member of my Community, and an advocate for others. After winning a seat in the NC House in 2022 I was elected by my colleagues as the Freshman Majority Leader. I was the only freshman to participate in the grueling budget appropriations process in this session. I founded and co-chair the House Small Business Caucus, introduced legislation to reduce government overreach, and helped secure over $185 million in appropriations for this district. In my first term I have been recognized for the work I have done in the General Assembly including being named an NC Chamber Jobs Champion, Awarded Legislator of the Year by the North Carolina Federation of Young Republicans and a Defender of Public Safety by the NC Sheriffs Association. Because of my work, I am endorsed by multiple mayors, several commissioners and the sheriffs in both Cabarrus and Rowan counties. My experience uniquely positions me as the most qualified candidate in the race for House seat 82.

Why did you decide to run for this office?

I’m running for NC House District 82 to make a positive difference in District 82 and our state. Sixty-one years after Dr. King shared his iconic dream in 1963, we have made progress but still have work to do to fulfill his vision of equality and justice for all.

It’s time to elect a House representative who will bring a different perspective and innovative ideas to our state government. It’s time to elect a fearless leader who will show up and speak up and work for universal equality for all people. I’m running to bring this type of leadership to District 82. I invite you to read my story and connect with my campaign visit sabrinaberry.net.

What are your top 3 priorities for serving in this office?

My platform aims to address systemic inequality and promote justice for all communities in North Carolina. The key focus areas are strengthening public education, expanding affordable housing access, creating economic opportunities, and transforming mental healthcare at the policy level to be equitable, destigmatized, and inclusive for all.

What experience/qualities make you a good choice for this office?

My life experiences have given me a deep understanding of the struggles facing working class families today. I know firsthand the battles many fights just to get by.

I embody the spirit of compassion and service at the heart of my faith. Now, I want to carry that spirit of justice and community empowerment to the NC House.

With violence plaguing our streets and many struggling just to stay afloat, I will lead with bold leadership and give innovative fresh perspectives.

I am a proven fighter for families, guided by wisdom, experience and faith. Together we can build a just community where all people have the chance to succeed.

Why did you decide to run for this office?

I’m running because of what we all want life to be like in years to come. We want a great education system—safety on our streets and children and teachers secure at school. We want to keep our money, not lose it to inflation, and give 10%, a TITHE, of our income to state and local governments. We want our children to have opportunities. We don’t want our family broken up because loved ones can only find opportunities elsewhere; our state needs economic vision and growth.

What are your top 3 priorities for serving in this office?

Education, public safety, and the economy.

What experience/qualities make you a good choice for this office?

I am a Christian, husband, son, father, friend, neighbor, and fellow taxpayer. I hold financial and construction licenses, and I own a local business.
